Enter the offering as a batch, accept online gifts, and keep both in one set of books.
Counted by hand, entered as a batch
Sunday's offering is counted the way it always has been. The treasurer then enters it as a batch, line by line by donor number and fund, and closes it when the total matches the count. The batch stays as the record of that Sunday.
Online giving for members who want it
Members who prefer to give online can give by card or bank transfer, once or on a schedule. They can choose to cover the processing fee so the church receives the full amount. Online gifts go into the same books as the plate.
Totals by offering
Every gift, whether envelope, card, or bank transfer, is in one record you can filter by fund and by batch. See what each fund received this month or this year without adding anything up.
Reconcile, then send it to QuickBooks
Match deposits and payouts against recorded gifts until the books agree with the bank. Then push closed batches to QuickBooks Online. Members can see their own giving history from their login instead of asking the treasurer.
