One record per person, one page per family

Each member has one record with contact details, baptism and membership dates, and notes. Spouses and children are linked into a household, so you can go from one person to the whole family in a click. Mailings and statements go out by household.

Elected offices, with terms

Track every office and committee, whether elected or appointed, along with the term length, who holds it, and when the term ends. When the church reorganizes, run the ballot from the same screen. Build the Sunday School teacher slate class by class until every class has a teacher.

Job descriptions where the office holder can find them

Attach the job description and any other papers to a role. Whoever holds that role sees them under "Your roles" in the member portal, on a phone or a computer, for as long as they hold it. When the term ends, so does the access.

A directory that stays current

The directory comes from the member records, so it's current whenever a record changes. Members with access can search it online. When it's time to print, export it as a PDF that's already laid out.

Members keep their own address

When the church allows it, members update their own address and mailing address from the member portal, and add a photo of themselves for the directory. A household's address is kept by the head of the household or their spouse, and everyone in the home sees the change. The church turns each of these on or off.

A family photo on the family's page

The office can add one photo for each household. It appears on the family's page in the directory, and in the shared directory when your district or conference shares theirs.

Start from the spreadsheet you already have
